Red fruit compote with sago

Sago is the classic way to bind red fruit jelly and the classics taste the best, right?
So let’s get started on the delicious red fruit jelly with sago.


Ingredients:

1 kg berries or fruit
250 ml fruit juice
70 g sago
Sugar or honey (season to taste)
Lemon zest
Star anise
Cloves

 

Boil the fruit or berries and approx. 250ml of juice or water with the sugar or honey. Drain the fruit, collecting the liquid. Now add the sago, a star anise, Lemon zest and two cloves and simmer for approx. 20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Now add the fruits again and bring to the boil once. Then leave to cool.
